Schedules in China

Arriving in China there are many things that attract attention for being different and you have to adapt, one is feeding schedules.

Breakfast time is no different to other, It will depend on the time at which you start the daily activity but we could say that this would be the 7:00. What we do is different is the type of breakfast. Although you can find a coffee, a zumo o growing, the most common is breakfast about “chesterfield” (a type of steamed buns made) and a soy drink. It is common for people to have breakfast on the street or in the subway, the way to work. For it there are very early risers stalls selling breakfast at low prices.

The main meal of the day is around 12:00. Is an early meal when not accustomed, but it really is the time when you start to get hungry. Thus begins the evening before, to 13:00 hours and gives the feeling that they have more time to combine work and leisure.

This leisure start from the 18:00 hours, that is when the dinner schedule begins. This is much more lengthy as you can see diners from 17:00 hours until after 22.00. Dinners are not very different meals in the type of food, but at that time appear on the streets popular posts “chuan”. These “chuan” pintxitos are some Moorish meat or vegetables that are made in old street barbecue, with tables and benches around. This is the most typical and cheap dinner the country.

These hours are always the best time of the day in China, at least for me. People out of work and fail to shop, meet friends, dinner ... the streets are filled and lively and relaxed atmosphere is created.

The problem with these mealtimes in China, It is having dinner at 18:00 one always time for dinner re-appears, about nine or ten p.m., where you come home and you can not help but want to eat some cookies or something to take you to bed without an empty stomach.

But as it is commonly said; “When in Rome, do as the Romans”.
