Meeting at the Beijing office

Continuing with “posts” that will be included in this blog, regarding my experience as an intern in China Management in Beijing, Today I will discuss my first meeting in Beijing office:

Yesterday I first visited China office in Beijing Management. Not far from where I live, but talk about distances in China is quite relative. I can say that my house is just down the street from the office, but 6 Km to the East.

In the office I got to know two people who work here; Zhu Beilan, Director of the office and Chi Xiaodi, Head of Education and Trading. We had a meeting about an hour where I was told how to work that is carried here and could introduce. We discussed my previous stays in China and the reasons that had led me back here. At that time, therefore, we met and had the first contact with China Beijing Management.

To keep improving my level of Chinese, I struggled to keep the conversation in Chinese, although in some more complicated times linguistically, I used English or Castilian. Dealing with the Chinese is usually not complicated at first contact. Usually it's nice and close people, and this is how it was with me yesterday Zhu and Chi.

Hello When I hesitated whether to offer only the hand or making a presentation “the Spanish” with two kisses. Finally I opted for the two kisses, because I figured they, Spanish company working in, it would be used to. On the other hand, I took them every detail as thanks for the welcome and they, this time using the correct usual Chinese, They thanked me and kept it, without opening before me. This is the custom when a gift is made in China, unlike in Spain, here does not open before the person who gives.
